What is LIFT?

The Long Island Forum for Technology (LIFT) is the Federally and State supported and designated Regional Technology Development Center for Long Island. LIFT has been supporting the technology sector of the Long Island economy for more than a quarter century and been involved in its evolution from a Defense based economy to a more balanced technology engine for Long Island.

LIFT is an industrially led, not-for-profit organization that supports technology-driven companies with a wide range of programs, events and professional services directed at lowering the cost of doing business and increasing business opportunities. LIFT achieves its mission by facilitating technology transfer and creating environments for innovation fueled by access to state and regional economic development programs and funding sources.

LIFT’s Board of Directors is comprised of the leaders in the Long Island high technology community. They focus their energy on issues relating to Homeland Security, Defense, Healthcare/Medical Devices, Renewable Energy, Technical Skills Training, Advanced Manufacturing, Information and Communications Technology and encouraging careers in Technology.
