Round 8 Projects
The Greater Long Island Clean Cities Coalition (the Coalition) is seeking proposals for Round 8.0 of the Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality (CMAQ) program. Funds are provided through the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Council and the Nassau/Suffolk Transportation Coordinating Committee. The objective of the program is to assist in the purchase of and/or conversion of fleets to alternative fuels and for the development of fueling infrastructure to support alternative fuel vehicle deployment. KeySpan Energy Delivery (www.keyspanenergy.com) One CNG/HEV small dump truck.
Manhattan Beer Distributors (www.manhattanbeer.com) Re-powering to dedicated CNG of five Beverage Trucks
Middle Country Central School District (www.middlecounty.k12.ny.us) - Additional funding for CNG station and 4 dedicated CNG School Buses
Nassau County (www.nassaucountyny.gov) Multiple projects both CNG and Ethanol
Town of Brookhaven (www.brookhaven.org) Increase the capacity and upgrades to their CNG station.
Town of Huntington (town.huntington.ny.us) Three PHEV Heavy Duty vehicles and one Electric Bus.
Town of North Hempstead (www.northhempstead.com) - Three PHEV Buses for Senior Transportation
Town of Oyster Bay (www.osyterbaytown.com) - Three PHEV recycling vehicles
Vogelbilt Corporation (www.vogelbilt.com) - One public access CNG station in Suffolk County
